Every Abandoned Full Grown Cat Starts Out As An Adorable Kitten
Please help the Starkitty Project to raise world awareness to incompassionate human behavior toward neighborhood felines. Each of the adult Starkitty Rescues you read about below has endured extreme hardship due to the ignorant behavior of human homeowners in their area. Allowing unneutered cats to roam freely PERPETUATES an epidemic of disease, physical injury and death by starvation & freezing to hundreds of cats in each and every town. The adorable kittens you see below you were rescued. But Teddy (below) died of the worst kitty virus known - Panleukopenia (distemper) which causes the intestines to ulcerate and bleed and wrecks the white blood cells of the entire body system. Death via distemper is ABSOLUTELY AGONIZING for an animal. To see a kitten writhing and moaning in delirium is a HORRIBLE thing to witness....all because SOME OTHER HUMAN caused it through negligent care to their OWN cat, whom they let wander the neighborhood - unaltered. Please note: we do not have ANY kittens available, as we focus strictly on abandoned adults.

Teddy died of distemper at 2 mo.

The Starkitty Project DESPERATELY Needs Your Help!
The economic slide this past year has caused irrevolkably harsh changes in the public shelter and rescue group industry. Overwhelmed more than ever, not only have adult cat adoptions slowed to an absolute crawl, but an epidemic of dumping cats has begun in every town across America and worse, kitten season is right around the corner. Because of this, shelters have taken to euthanizing loads of adult felines; most chosen because they are scared beyond belief and cannot get over the fright of being abandoned and then caged 24/7. Kittens are easy sells and a way that many rescue groups cull profits to continue. So rescues always take in kittens and the adults are sacrificed.
The Starkitty Interspecies Communication Project did not start out as a venture that was intended to house so many felines, nor did I as an animal communicator researcher have any clue initially as to how the rescue industry worked. Since this project is an Meta-educative one at heart, I have held the line of integrity in the name of the valuable research this project may one day offer to humanity. But I am struggling beyond belief to keep this project and the participating kitties safe and stable. We need your support in many ways. Please donate whatever you can. But MORE IMPORTANTLY, please either adopt a Starkitty or FOSTER one. Inquire at ask@starkittys.com or ask@bluechakra.com
PLEASE donate ANY AMOUNT you want to help keep the Starkittys in good food and kitty litter. Not only is your support desperately needed, we welcome your support in other ways too. Got a bright idea? Please email us with your thoughts and queries to ask@starkittys.com . If you can't keep a cat permanently but have anywhere from three months up to a year available, you may consider FOSTERING a Starkitty. For anyone who ADOPTS a Starkitty, a FREE 30 minute Meta-Edu animal communication intro session is donated by the Starkitty founder AND a FREE 20 minute telepathic annimal communication session with a multi-published animal communication author is offered as well. Don't have PAYPAL? Make check payable to 'Bluechakra' and email ask@bluechakra.com to obtain mailing address.

ADOPT or FOSTER Mr. Beautiful
Mr. Beautiful
MR. BEAUTIFUL:Won't ANYBODY LOVE ME - just because I am FIV+???? Mr. B is so darned lonely in my basement he's made a friend out of his tail. Yes, he chases it for entertainment daily and I have just GOT to find him a human friend to play with! A buff orange & white male, medium build, his 'old dog spirit' is approx. 2.5 - 3 yrs old. He'll follow you around EVERYWHERE.He's neutered, vaccinated and has been fed high grade food & supplements - which has made him a VERY HEALTHY and STRONG BOY. He aced his last vet check, in Feb 09. He should remain on a hi-grade food diet to maintain a strong immune system for life - so no junk kibble for this guy! Mr. B was rescued from my snowy driveway - starving and stubborn, he would not leave my porch, which earned him a spot ultimately at the Starkitty Indoor Ranch for wayward strays.
PERSONALITY: Mr. Beautiful DESPERATELY wants to love someone BADLY. He insists on sitting on your lap and constantly craves a hug. Yes, a REAL HUMAN HUG - as in both arms around your neck and head tucked under your chin where he will STAY until you remove him. He is VERY kissy and smoochy. This cat would be GREAT for a lonely senior citizen, a solo human who works all day and wants to come home to the 'perfect pet'. A FAB family pet or even companion to another FIV+ kitty. Gosh knows - all FIV's need friends too. He CRAVES to give love. He is extremely well behaved.
He does not meow - he sounds off a 'Rah' - as in Ra, the sun god. He will follow you around as he will be interested in everything you do. Leash trainable and rides very well in a car for long distances. He behaves much more like a loyal old dog than a cat.
IDEAL NEW HOME: A busy, active or quiet household. Can be left alone alot, but seeks attention after a full day alone. Wants to 'be' part of your life! No other cats should be paired with him due to FIV status, unless as companion to another FIV.
PLEASE donate ANY AMOUNT you want to help keep Mr. Beautiful in good food and kitty litter. Not only will your support be deeply appreciated, please email us with your thoughts and queries to ask@starkittys.com . Even if you can't keep a cat permanently but have anywhere from three months up to a year available, you may consider fostering Mr. Beautiful. As a foster parent you assume all costs and responsibilities a true owner would however, you are not committed to caring for him for a lifetime, as would you, were you a pet owner.
Mr. Sunshine Was ADOPTED!
Mr. Sunshine
MR. SUNSHINE: Orange male tiger. Medium build w/ white front & white paws. Approx. 2.5 yrs old. Neutered and vaccinated. FIV negative. SUPER FAT bushy raccoon tail.
Mr. Sunshine hobbled down the Starkitty property driveway in the winter, laid down in the snow and cried. Injured from a deep bite wound to his leg and severely malnourished, he was healed and quarantined for 6 months due to NJ Rabies Bite Laws. Mr. Sunshine is now fully recuperated.
MR. SUNSHINE WAS ADOPTED!
PERSONALITY: Sweet and openly affectionate with every human he meets, but he MUST be a solo companion kitty. Forced to survive on the streets he has too much 'fighting street memory' to be able to emotionally calm down in the presence of other felines as of yet. Seems ok with large non-agressive dogs from a short distance, but has not been completely tested with them. He may always need to be a 'one and only' companion cat.
Heis wonderfully gentle with humans. He loves to play laser light. He will cuddle in your bed. He does not meow - he 'trings' like a telephone. He talks alot and will follow you around as he will be interested in everything you do. Leash trainable and rides well in car. He can be smooched and smunched quite agressively, therefore he's VERYGOOD for kids/families.
IDEAL NEW HOME: A busy or active family household with high places for him to retreat to on occasion. Can be left alone alot, but seeks attention after a full day alone. Wants to 'be' part of the family. He is very friendly to anyone and not afraid of people. No other pets or cats should be paired with him except caged small animals. He knows mouse and bird and is fine with both.
ADOPT or FOSTER Thunder & Thumbelina
Thunder
THUNDER and THUMBELINA:A bonded pair; through animal communication Thunder requested they stay together so that he could watch over his 'wife'. Thunder is black with a small white spot on his chest. He is small/medium build, but heavy....not as in fat but as in stocky and solid. Thumbelina is a tiny grey tortie with muted orange/tiger markings. They are both approx. 4.5 yrs old. Altered and vaccinated. FIV negative. Thunder arrived in a blizzard and knocked a can of food out of my hands. Starving and injured, he howled until I took him in. He resided on a back porch for a winter and was placed with a feral pregnant kitten named Thumbelina in a garage later that winter, so as to provide protection for her. They fell in love. Thunder raised Thumbelina's kittens. He is a very solid and steady cat. He loves to play. Thumbelina is very shy but very affectionate with her husband.
2009 Update: T & T were adoped out in April-May 09 but were returned after a month and half. Thumbelina went into fear mode and just could not adjust despite great effort by her new guardians. They reluctantly returned them and Thumbelina is currently undergoing a re-socialization process. It is unclear whether they can be adopted together was was promised and planned - or whether Thumeblina is destined for a feral farm. Thunder has adjusted well upon return and is working with me to help socialize Thumbelina.
IDEAL NEW HOME: A zen home - No chaos please! Mature people only.
Thumbelina
PLEASE donate ANY AMOUNT you want to help keep Thunder & Thumbelina in good food and kitty litter. Not only will your support be deeply appreciated, please email us with your thoughts and queries to ask@starkittys.com . Even if you can't keep a cat permanently but have anywhere from three months up to a year available, you may consider fostering Thunder & Thumbelina. As a foster parent you assume all costs and responsibilities a true owner would however, you are not committed to caring for him for a lifetime, as would you, were you a pet owner.
Sabrina Was ADOPTED!
Sabrina
SABRINA: A tiny tortie like her mother Thumbelina, Sabrina's markings are much more pronounced and she has multi-colored toes. 3 yrs old. Spayed and rabies vaccinated. Survived a mild bout of distemper at age 2 mo., however, she is very hearty, very healthy and full of life!
PERSONALITY: Sabrina is the funniest and MOST fun Starkitty I have ever raised. She is full of zest, unbounded spirit and unlike Thumbelina, she is very bold and outwardly friendly to all people. She seeks action and adventure. She bounds and frolicks all over the house. She can spin on a dime on laser light and like the Eveready Bunny, her battery life is long when in 'play mode'!
She gets along with many other kitties. She head butts you for a head massage. She will sit on your lap in front of the computer. Bonded with Sufi, her brother, they would make a GREAT pair but she is capable of going solo somewhere too. Sabrina would make a GREAT therapy cat.
Sabrina has been adopted!
IDEAL NEW HOME: A busy, active household. Can be a multi-pet household. Great for a family with kids or someone looking for companion kitty. Can be left alone alot, but will seek attention after a full day alone. Wants to 'be' part of your life. Sabrina and Sufi are stroller trained, collar, clothing and leash tolerant. Both ride very well in a car for long distances.
Sufi Was ADOPTED!
Sufi
Sufi: Sibling to Sabrina, Sufi is a tiny tiger kitty with a long body and perfect white ring at the end of his tail. He is 3 yrs, neutered and vaccinated. Sufi suffered two bouts of serious distemper as a 2 mo old kitten. He survived but it left his right hind leg muscle weak. Sufi has learned to compensate for this mild leg weakness but he cannot jump extremely high places. When he 'focuses carefully' he can can get to wherever he wants to go very well.
PERSONALITY: Sufi is a very spiritual kitty and stated as a kitten via animal communication that his white ring was a physical symbol of 'World Unity'. He named himself, wanting to be called Sufi-Sioux originally because he wanted to create unification of all things spiritual.
Sufi is very serious about having and creating FUN. He gets along with many other kitties and tends to befriend any kitty that comes across his path. He IS a peacemaker.Sufi bebops around the house. He has a very distinct Sufi trot - upbeat and happy all the time. He jumps up to greet you. He is a great playmate to his sister Sabrina. He will play laser light with Sabrina until YOU poop out.
Sufi has been adopted!
IDEAL NEW HOME: An active household. Great for kids, a single adult or someone looking for companion kitty. Sufi is a great 'other half' to Sabrina. They are a VERY FUNNY, HAPPY pair but Sufi could also go solo. He would be a wonderful cat for a sensitive INDIGO or CRYSTAL child.
ADOPT or FOSTER Palomino
Palomino aka 'Flower'
PALOMINO: aka 'Flower' is a gray and white female approx. 5 yrs. Altered and vaccinated. FIV neg. Mommy Palomino does not meow. She PEEPS!
Palomino has known tremendous hardhip and has overcome it. A feral and uncatchable stray at first arrival, she birthed a batch of kittens only to have one lone kitten survive. Within a few months, the uncatchable kitten was killed in the streets and afterward Palomino became very sad and depressed. Still uncatchable, I promised her that if she birthed her next batch in my yard I would save all of her kittens. Good Lord - she actually LISTENED! In Sept 05, Palo birthed five babies in the myrtle and all five of her babies were saved and adopted. It is now Palo's turn to be solely loved for the very exquisite and beautiful being that she is.
PERSONALITY: It took a year to socialize Palomino - hence the nicknmame, Flower. She witnessed her babies being handled and playing daily and learned from them. Palo is now a very sweet, touchable, playful and holdable kitty. She practically falls into your hand when you stroke her. She is an extremely ladylike, gentle kitty who is completely non-agressive. She gets along with EVERY other kitty at the Starkitty Ranch.
IDEAL NEW HOME: Palo would prefer a zen style, peaceful home. Nothing crazy or nutty, but that doesn't mean it can't be a somewhat active family home. She is very content to be alone and LOVES a window view but mixes and mingles well too. She would make a great companion cat to another cat, for her extreme gentleness begets immediate friendship. She actually embraces change and growth and adapts quite well to any room she is placed in.
PLEASE donate ANY AMOUNT you want to help keep Palomino in good food and kitty litter. Not only will your support be deeply appreciated, please email us with your thoughts and queries to ask@starkittys.com . Even if you can't keep a cat permanently but have anywhere from three months up to a year available, you may consider fostering Palomino. As a foster parent you assume all costs and responsibilities a true owner would however, you are not committed to caring for him for a lifetime, as would you, were you a pet owner.
ADOPT Scooter & Mr. Mush (Bonded Pair)
Scooter
SCOOTER and MR. MUSH:Bonded Pair; Scooter and Mr. Mush are bonded brothers and MUST live together. Both are approx. 4 yrs, neutered and vaccinated. Scooter is a grey tiger with big green eyes and Mr. Mush is an incredibly handsome black tuxedo cat with a curly tail.
PERSONALITY: Both cats are shy and will hide when company comes over but in private, they are extremely affectionate 'bed bugs'. Scooter is in his very first cat body, incarnating from squirrel consciousness. In his previous life he was rescued as a severly malformed squirrel who lived with Pal and Sweet Pea (Starkitty founder kitties) for six months before he died. In that time, Pal held him in his arms and nurtured him in his dying days. Scooter, as a new young kitten directed his mother, a feral stray to the Starkitty location and when a door was opened to him - he ran straight up the stairs to the bedroom he knew as a former squirrel. Mr. Mush is his 'assigned guardian' for this life - to help Scooter to adapt to his very first kitty body. They are not to be separated. Scooter is pet stroller trained and loves to go in the outdoor Starkitty kennel. Scooter loves laser light. Mr. Mush cannot see the red spectrum but laser light has been 'explained' to him so he can now enjoy the strange kitty antics of others chasing it.
IDEAL NEW HOME: A busy, active or quiet household. Well behaved kids with patience to let them settle in gently would be ok - but NO roughhousing or chasing them! They are great for a single adult/working couple or someone looking for companion kitties. They can be left alone alot. Both cats live amongst many other cats and are gentle and peaceful.
Mr. Mush
PLEASE donate ANY AMOUNT you want to help keep Scooter & Mr. Mush in good food and kitty litter. Not only will your support be deeply appreciated, please email us with your thoughts and queries to ask@starkittys.com . Even if you can't keep a cat permanently but have anywhere from three months up to a year available, you may consider fostering Scooter & Mr. Mush. As a foster parent you assume all costs and responsibilities a true owner would however, you are not committed to caring for him for a lifetime, as would you, were you a pet owner.
ADOPT or FOSTER Joey (Great Barn Kitty)
Joey
JOEY: Gray and white, approx. 1.5 yrs, male stray/feral. Joey arrived in 2008 as a half grown kitten, eyes glued shut with infection. It's a miracle he survived as long as he had. With herbal supplements and hi grade food, his infection cleared but damage to his eyelids remains. Joey's eyes are fine. But the lids were not able to fully form due to the infection, thus leaving him with a handicap. Joey is still feral-like in his behavior but is intelligent and listens when spoken to.
Though Joey appears cross-eyed he is not really. It is just an illusion created by the small eye openings. Via animal communication Joey named himself and stated that he was born to a feral in the area. He never had human contact until he was forced to seek help for food. Joey is quite curious and eager to interact, despite his shyness.
PERSONALITY: Joey is very personable and smart. He may require human assistance for food for life, as he cannot see well enough to catch prey all on his own. He tends to stay closeby and never misses a breakfast. He may need to be an outdoor cat permanently, but will need a human friend to help out once in awhile. Joey talks alot. He has potential to become socialized with the right person.
IDEAL NEW HOME: A farm location would be ideal for Joey. He will sniff fingers and come close but prefers to romp in the grass over socializing. We're still working on that.
PLEASE donate ANY AMOUNT you want to help keep Joey in good food and kitty litter. Not only will your support be deeply appreciated, please email us with your thoughts and queries to ask@starkittys.com . Even if you can't keep a cat permanently but have anywhere from three months up to a year available, you may consider fostering Joey As a foster parent you assume all costs and responsibilities a true owner would however, you are not committed to caring for him for a lifetime, as would you, were you a pet owner.
ADOPT or FOSTER Millie
Millie
Millie: ...arrived last week and immediately planted herself at my doorstep. Talkative, friendly and emaciated, we channeled her immediately to get her story. She calls herself Milicent, (Millie for short), says she is an old soul kitty, though very young in body (6-8 months estimated). She says she was brought to this area from elsewhere by a family but the family had to leave. They left her behind. They never spayed her. She wandered for a bit and heard a voice in the air. That voice was ethereal Pal - (our Starkitty Guardian founder), who though he tried to steer her away from the property - as I am overwhelmed with cats, Millie deemed from their conversations that this was a good place to come STAY. Millie was pregnant but it is unclear what happened to her babies. She was spayed, vaccinated, deflead, dewormed and is ready to be adopted.
PERSONALITY: She is extremely sweet, friendly and pettable. She talks...alot. She is easy going. She looks very much in appearance like Thumbelina - but says that she is NOT blood related.
IDEAL NEW HOME: Any home would be good for her as she is outgoing and friendly. She is very tiny in physical size and currently, quite skinny but we are working on giving her sound nutrition to correct that condition.
Special Note: Compassion during this harsh economy reigns! Thanks to the wonderful couple who adopted Sufi and Sabrina, Millie has been afforded veterinarian care, thus shall be given a second chance for a great life! Thank you Tara and Liam!
Sweet, Sweet Millie
PLEASE donate ANY AMOUNT you want to help keep Millie in good food and kitty litter. Not only will your support be deeply appreciated, please email us with your thoughts and queries to ask@starkittys.com . Even if you can't keep a cat permanently but have anywhere from three months up to a year available, you may consider fostering Millie. As a foster parent you assume all costs and responsibilities a true owner would however, you are not committed to caring for him for a lifetime, as would you, were you a pet owner.
ADOPT or FOSTER Vea (Affectionate Farm Kitty)
Vea
Vea: Black and white, approx. 3 yrs, male. With Vea, it took 3 hard years of human groveling before he let me pet him. But I had an unsual psychic connection with him and kept getting premonitions and messages from him. One day I saw a 'car hit' and was so disturbed I frantically searched the neighborhood for him. When I found him, I told him about the vision and through further animal communication, Vea told me that I saved his life. He was able to recognize the car when it came and stop himself before typically dodging across the street as he normally would have.
After that, Vea came to my porch and started letting me pet him. Then one day he showed up badly injured from a fight and he recuperated with me for three months. He's now fat and healthy, neutered finally, shotted and FIV neg. But Vea loves the outdoors and gets very cranky in indoors. I very rarely allow rescues to go back outside ever again, but this guy seems to CRAVE the outdoors so badly that I'm now searching for a farm family who would love an affectionate cat who lounges by the back door all the time - and truly wants human affection - but needs his fresh air.
PERSONALITY: Named for the V mark on his head, and for the very unusual luv bug that he is, he'll jump up to greet you and smooch your legs. He talks and is not afraid to ask for food. He's very happy to be your porch bench warmer. Even in the rain, he'd rather sit on the porch than come indoors.
IDEAL NEW HOME: A farm location would be ideal for Vea - or a home environment where he can be the indoor/outdoor kitty. Just call him an ol' fashioned country boy...or for all you eco friendly humans - he'll be your GREEN kitty.
Vea
PLEASE donate ANY AMOUNT you want to help keep Vea in good food and kitty litter. Not only will your support be deeply appreciated, please email us with your thoughts and queries to ask@starkittys.com . Even if you can't keep a cat permanently but have anywhere from three months up to a year available, you may consider fostering Vea. As a foster parent you assume all costs and responsibilities a true owner would however, you are not committed to caring for him for a lifetime, as would you, were you a pet owner.
