The Burdensome Financial Cost Of Saving Other People's Abandoned Pets...IS A HARD COLD REALITY!
Harry Lost His Arm
Each cat that comes in from the streets requres a full vet check, neuter/spay procedure, vaccinations, teeth/gum inspection, deworming meds and oftentimes other respiratory medications to clear up congested lungs and weepy eyes. Stray cats are notorious for hosting an array of upper respiratory illnesses, as their immune systems are low from lack of consistent nutrition. Almost NO stray comes in 100% healthy. If a cat comes in wounded the vet costs for the cat to be seen and accessed usually starts at a minimum of $200.00. At best, our local spay clinic charges $65.00 for the minimal rabies shot and neuter procedure.
Vet fees for amputation of the unsavable limb belonging to Harry (to the left) were $2,100.00 and that was at a 'cut rate' working thru a willing shelter's discount program! Harry crawled to my garage door and cried relentlessly. At first I thought he was a girl cat in heat...until he stood up. His limb was smashed flat and a bloody mess. We channeled him and he stated that he crawled around the neighborhood for THREE DAYS before someone, (me), would help him. Other humans saw him. No one would help.
Can any one imagine pain like that for three days?
There are also additional expenses which include: repeat vet fees, unsuccessful surgery & rehab fees, additional supplements or medications such as vet prescribed, Baytril, Clavamox, Strongid (dewormer), Bach Remedies, homeopathic vet prescribed remedies. Each Starkitty rescue is fed high grade wet cat food plus restorative minerals & vitamins to try to offset the damage done their bodies from prior malnutrition. [Hi-grade organic food always costs more]
There are also additional expenses like surgeries for those with teeth/gum issues or other high maintenance cases as in (a renal failure cat who for four years required daily sub-fluids, vitamin B injections & special foods) or Mr. B - who is FIV+ and requres periodic health checks.
What Do You Think It COSTS To Heal Other People's Ignorance?
Our emotional disconnection from the pain and suffering many abandoned pets experience is ASTOUNDING! What's the matter with humanity? Why are we so completely indifferent to the word 'COMPASSION?'
Tiger Lost His Leg
The Starkitty Rescue Project was a manifestation of the silent telepathic work I began several years ago. At that time I was not in anticipation of a parade of injured felines that would arrive to be seen and heard. The entire funding for this project came out of my pocket. Currently, I get paid no administration fee for maintaining the educative websites. I pay for the websites to remain online. I do not get paid for my time to hire & transcribe with other channelers for research purposes. I get paid nothing to scoop 8 boxes of litter a day, do laundry, feed the cats and transport them to vets or cat adoption events. I get paid no fees to re-socialize traumatized cats into becoming well behaved and affectionate household cats. I do not get paid to grocery shop for supplies, nor is there any money left over for the chiropractor (try hauling 10 cases of cat food and 5 / 30lb bags of cat litter weekly.) This began as a labor of love and shall continue to stay one... as long as I can keep a roof over all their fuzzy heads! But I need your help to continue!
Recently, two cats came and died right under my porch from car hits. We channeled them after the fact. One had a very painful transition into death. The other said he had a BIG WHOPPING headache and then simply went to permanent sleep. He had been hit in the head. A young female named Millie arrived and no more than 6-8 months old, became pregnant in her first heat. She lost her babies and had a mildly complicated spay - due to the extra milk she was still carrying. Mille said she was brought to this town from another place as a kitten, lived with a family and was abandoned when the family abruptly moved. They never spayed her. She arrived typically emaciated from lack of knowing how to hunt for her own food after being domesticated. On her first night of rescue, she used the litter box and was incredibly affectionate.
So affectionate was she that she immediately went to the Flemington store to be adopted. But the store attendees did not work to help her feel safe in the new and unfamiliar cage. Soon, two young boys came in and taunted her. She became reclusive and hissed at people who continued to poke at her through the cage bars - DESPITE the fact that a BIG SIGN was posted NOT to frighten kitties in their new environment! THEN some lousy, arrogant customer complained about the unfriendly cat and that was it - I was asked to remove the adult kitties by the store owner - who amicably explained that she could no longer keep adult cats in her store - for 'people' only respond to friendly fuzzy little kittens!!!
Millie had NO CHANCE from the moment she was placed in that store! WHY? Because humans - SEVERAL OF THEM, one after the other - acted with NO SENSE of compassion toward her. Mindless in their actions - she was treated indifferently and in reflection, she began to mirror the behavior she'd received. Desperate and with no place to put her, as my own home was maxed, I frantically called the vet who attended to her spay and she graciously took her in on a temporary situation - to see if she could place her from her office. Were it not for that vet, I would have been hard pressed to send her straight to a shelter. Millie was adopted to a wonderful family in Pa. ultimately. But the stress and enormous difficulty I went through to get her a home is a never ending one and it depletes the human beings such as myself, who attempt to save them from other people's wrecklessness.
Where, one might wonder - is the reward in all of this frustration with other humans? On the harder years like these of recent past, I question myself as to the value of my efforts, or the value of what the Universe has delivered to me. On my bad days I yell out - I DID NOT ASK for all these animals to come! But in a way I did - for when I began the Starkitty Project Telepathic Communications Research, I DID NOT understand the physical counterpart to it. The animals WOULD arrive, naturally. Open the doors to hear them and they will come. And they did.
These days I grapple to find and maintain balance between the continuing research I do and the physical repercussion of where my focus has driven my physical life. Until more humans come into sync with their hearts - this dilemma remains.
Serious Financial Cat Rescue Facts To Ponder:
1. Why help The Starkitty Rescue Project?
The project itself did not begin in an ordinary way, not is it's future as a formal organization certain. There is only the truth of how it started, the truth of what has so far transpired and the truth of the REAL FACT that vet services, food and litter are needed to keep the felines safe and fed. There are a gazillion rescue organizations out there. But this one focuses on educating humans to the spirit nature of animals, the vibrational healing gifts of the felines and it is perhaps the only rescue of it's kind in the world that has, for many years now, tracked the spirit missions of the felines who came to heal, be healed and be heard. This rescue effort works strictly with adult felines who have been abused or abandoned and the telepathic aspect of it was in full swing, long before the 'GO GREEN' /holistic, eco craze hit mainstream. Though officially formalized in 2002, telepathic data retrieval from the felines actually began in 1992. No profit has yet been acquired from the efforts set forth to manifest this project. This project is quite deeply in the red, considering the years and dollars that have so far been put into it. Focus at this time is directed strictly to managing the current load and adoption process of its feline inhabitants.
2. How will I know the fate of my fav Starkittys?
This information will also be published here onsite and in my upcoming book as I am tracking the animals through their lives, as well as when they cross over and come back. Teddy, the feline kitten that died in my hands of distemper in 2005, rebirthed in Japan and is helping to raise two Japanese psy-gifted Indigo children. He was once an orange tiger, and is now a black and white tuxedo cat.
Currently, if your fav Starkitty is up for adoption and you live in the tri-state area, perhaps you would consider adopting him or fostering him/her. In that case, EMAIL US!!!! or call 888-842-1112 PRONTO! Click here to see who is available for adoption.
How do I know if this is legitimate and the money really goes to these so called Starkittys?
I am a real person living in a real home on a real street in NJ. All of the Starkittys are not only real, they have each been 'channeled' by not only myself, but at least four other valid US telepathic channelers, some of whom are multi-published authors and who are listed on my web sites. Four NJ veterinarians, one CA veterinarian, one FL Veterinarian and one PA veterinarian have all been involved in medically treating the Starkittys. There are legitimate records from all veterinarians existent. We are also trademarked. This project began officially in February 2002 when the initial 5 Starkittys were born, but the additional felines began arriving came approximately one year after that, which is mainly between 2003 to present. I began documenting this magical phenomenon on our www.starkittys.com website, when I realized something more than normal was happening at the property. I currently belong to only one online group whose leader has seen fit to assist by promoting this work to his members. This group and my profile can be found at this link.
2010 - THE TRUTH OF OUR CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES
With foreclosures at an all time high and counting, overburdened shelters are feeling the pressure of so many homeowners who are giving up their animals to cut household costs. In competition with publicly funded orgs, who can hustle donations and sell off kittens at high profit margins, my adult cat rescue project suffers untold difficulties in the area of 'adoptions and foster parents'.
I am reaching out to the public to help keep the Starkitty adoption program stable, keep food on the table for the kittys in need, get this project stabilized legally and to lend moral and possible publishing support for the writing of this book. There is no one more real than me and my back breaking labor of love which has included tremendous physical labor to manage so many cats single-handedly. All of this that I have been through, including the channelings from all the participating Starkittys is going into the book. I approximate the book may take well into the end of 2012 to complete, edit & publish due to the labor it takes to manage this complete project and work full time too.
I welcome you to bookmark us and tap in once in awhile to witness our progress! In the meantime, I am always available to speak with, should you have any creative ways to help this project stabilize financially. I can be reached directly at 888-842-1112. Please allow 2-3 days for return calls - as you can imagine, my hands are quite full! Whatever suggestions you have, however you can help - it is VERY greatly appreciated!
